@Witchdoctor
How about this 24k BTU beast You just gotta have a 230 to run it on (i have one right by my benching area). Since it's R410A is can get colder than a r507 (do people just not do r410a because technically you need epa cert for it, though you can buy it on ebay). And with a tad over 2hp i'm sure it can get pretty freaking cold... pull a vacuum of 1 inch and you got -58.. of course you need a 24k btu condenser too... Just thought it would make a killer SS.. and loud too.
It would not be pratical to use a 2 ton compressore and condenser

One thing could you imagine your electric bill? We are talking about a compressor large enough to cool a 1400 square foot house
A two row condensor would have to be at least 4' square with a 800 CFM fan ............

Best place for this is in an AC unit for your house

I used 410A to charge Madds SS a few weeks back ....

I think many newer units will be using it as it is easily availible and cheaper than most other alternatives.

I would not go any bigger than a 3/4 HP rotary for an SS and trust me .... they get hot and are loud

Sounds good Al, I will be checking this out this week on mine

If you knew how loud my benching area gets, you might not be mentioning the loud part You could start lighting off mortar fireworks in there and i probably wouldn't notice. But yeah, i'd want more like 24k btu spaced out in two stages. And cummon, that crazy german built a roughly -200 ln2 charged single stage

(crazy german = UnRockStar)
