Or, if someone with the card can measure it to get a sense of the voltage and polarity through it you caould solder the appropriate 2.5v, 4v or 16v radial cap.

I have a whole bunch of surface mounts on 5870's that I've lost modding/remodding/sparking and have a couple of radial caps soldered where surface mounts used to be...
CAPs have polarity mate. Look at the picture below. The colored side it the negative. Whats missing on his card is a resistor and not a CAP and this needs to be the exact value missing. Trying to find the right one can be a life time deal.
