Believe it or not, the Killer NIC cards actually do work, so, if you can't upgrade your internet connection it may be a way to pull some more kbs for under $100.

I have a 18mbs down and 2mbs ATT Uverse. When I added the Killer NIC it bounced me up to 26/28 mbs download depending on the day etc.
