So the question is how far does a liter get you so I can kind of form a bugdet of what type of cost's I will have on top of buying all the supporting hardware such as pots and dawars and all
so if you have a 35 liter Dewar how many hours of benching does that get you .... ?
It would be around 56 bucks to fill

Today with chips benching around -180oC is not the size of the dewar that maters anymore. The board will run into condensation problems sooner then in the past when you used to bench around -120oC tops.
So the condensation will shut you down sooner then a small 15L can be emptied If you have all your settings down right and your using on the cpu only this will be good for 4 hours of benching.

I dont want to cause my brother any greif on his job. I'll just open my own business account at Airgas and suck it up.

I agree thats not a bad price. But i was so pumped when i thought i could get that 230 for 75. I was a tough pill to swallow. But there are other good things about doing it this way. One is that its a business account and i can just write it off.

Yup as Jor said, if you are benching just after refilling with all the settings known(thats where cascade/ss comes in handy) then you can easily get 5-6 hours of benching out of 35l(depends on the pot and your handling skills as well a bit), else with a new board and CPU(where you dont know the CBB and CB temps), it would be mostly 1 session of knowing the board and CPU and then only during the second session some serious bot damage......

Yea i called to cancel mine because they were out of stock and i heard the next wave might be better batches. the guy told me it was already shipped out and they just hadn't changed my status on the web yet. I checked this am and it will be here on Thurs. I guess i'll give it a shot and see. If its a dud i'll just send it back.

hey dent I can fax you an invoice of what im paying if it would help? thats goes for everyone here.
As far as ln2, it takes about 1.5L to bring the f1 down to negative -175 and start benching. Ive been writting down how much I use. First 2 hour session I used 6L then the 2nd 4 hour session I used 8L so 14L in 6 hours or so.

Guyz what will you suggest with the bad retails chips out there??? Shall I pull the trigger on an ebay ES sample and hope that its better than the retail chips which mostly it will be, but the no warranty part is scaring me so much.....1000$+ is not a small amount afterall, here in India its almost my months salary......
