Ditto to Rom's and other's advice on being yourself.

Honest and up front with yourself and others is the way to go. Then you'll naturally fall into place with the "right one". My 14th anniversary is in a few days. We dated off and on in high school (hers was one of the 3 senior proms I went to), then hooked up again towards the end of undergrad.

When the time comes for a committed long term relationship it's as much about being the right person as it is finding the right person. Aside from that, my only advice is to make sure you marry a chick who's hot when she wakes up in the morning without makeup.
