Exclamation ='( anyone is good with TV's?

so i've got this Sony TV, it's the KDL-40S4100
(http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...52921665381955)

this just starting to happen..
i have this TV used as a monitor..
and now the TV gets power but nothing on the screen...
normally when i turn the TV on it's at HDMI 2 is hooked in to the computer..
and if i flip the up and down it'll go to 1 or 2

and now when i turn the TV on nothing happens
no sound no picture no nothing...

anything i should try?

no sir, nothing is showing up..
i really think it may be the logical board that's broken...
because the thing turns on but nothing is working
but at the sametime it picks up the remote (on and off)
it's not the back light i can tell that for sure .. so that's good

Do you have the stand by LED blinking right after you power it up? Most TV sets will blink display some code.

The Channel display still works though? (How do you know you are switching between HDMI 1 or 2?)

If that is still displaying (or OSD still displays) it is not hte panel but the controller would be my guess.

contact the company and see about warranty. If no warranty you can try taking it apart and replacing the controller board but its going to be a $100 guessing game TBH.

Best bet is hit up a site like AVS Forums for some super detailed info how how to diagnose the failure

EDIT: I type to slow LOL
