Dfi lp lt p35-t2r
Found one really cheap, and grabbed it to replace the P5B-Deluxe. Im not a DFI person really, any tips to what half their names mean :ohcrap:
For the GTL refs, it starts at 100, and you add percentage I guess. How does that work? I was spoiled by Gig boards back in 775 days that changed them for you with the VTT  The layout around the CPU is really bare. Im going to try to get a thermometer soon and some insulation gear to put my Cedar Mill under DICE. |
No idea bro, haven't wondered past EVGA and Asus thusfar. GL
|
good luck those boards need a 3000 page manual
|
Sorry, can't remember their terminology off hand.
I tried a celeron cedar mill on a p35 DK. Word of warning: clear CMOS defaulted FSB to 200 (which was 5GHz on my CPU). It allowed adjustment down to 133 as long as you could get into BIOS at 5 GHz. Wouldn't be an issue with a P4 though. |
Ive got to know it a little bit. Getting an error in PiFast that I cant figure out though, says something about P not doing something. At first I thought it didnt want the ram how I had it (1030 4-4-4-12) but that wasnt it. And running ~1.65v to an Allendale E6300 for 3.6.
Other then that, I was able to push the E6300 a lot further then the P5B-Deluxe wanted to go. And I got an option for performance level now lol. |
Got a lapped Q6600 G0 in it now, aiming for 4.2 benchable.
|
you have to start freezing stuff cecil!!!
:D |

Got the Q6600 at 1.45v 3.6 sub 40C load so far. |
cecil do not get dice or ln2 gear, it will ruin your life trust me

also GL ceecil i been trying to get time to fire up my ss and a p4 & p5b dlx which i havent used in like 2yrs lol |
My biggest problem besides not having time, is when I do have time Im constantly interupted. Not exactly a good thing to happen if using DICE or LN2 lol
|
GTLREFs stock should be 67 for core 1/3 and 71 for 2/4 stock I think
Dont raise them too much. I raised mine to 77 each in my quest to bench a G0 at 500 BUS and fried my chip. |

Those values he is talking about is percentages, but I'm sure DFI being who they are that its done different.

was kicking around some old posts Cecil, and found these settings for 500+ FSB. Looks like GTL Ref control is disabled.

but when i pay all the extra bills off... ill make time cuz ill have the cash to buy more stuff i hope i can next yr on income tax :p |
Getting decent clocks, and good wprime and spi 1m runs. My pifast scores are about 4 seconds slower then they should be, and spi 32m doesnt seem to want to run at all. Got up to 4140 so far, not sure if I can get it higher though. Took over 1.7v for that.
|
Sweet man. It seems like you picked up on the DFI bios quick. I hear they are cumbersome. Got any screenies?
|
4 Attachment(s)
I was also able to get the ram benchable at 1150Mhz 4-4-4-4-22 with PL7.
|
Ok, now Im stumped. I got an E8400 from someone that is suppost to be able to run 4Ghz at 1.1v stable, or 4.5 with 1.38v. Ive tried up to 1.425v so far at 4Ghz, and as soon as OCCT starts, it fails. 3.8 is a piece of cake to get stable though.
I have tried 1.75PLL, 1.15SB, 1.55NB, and 1.35VTT. Only thing I havent tried was the GTLs. Well I tried them, changed each one from stock 110 to 115 and it wont post when doing that. |
I figured out how to do the GTLs with this board, but its limited to 1.45VTT. Only got to 4610. I got 4725 to boot, but reset just as I click validate.
|
finally you found gtl settings..its the secret sauce to wolfdales :D
