LOL ........ I was going to get the UD7 but the PCIe slots are laid out like shit

and needed a board with 2 16x slots

This is not really a bencher, It is a gamer build ...

the new bencher will be assembled when the new Enthusiast level CPU's hit the streets

Just having some fun with this mainstream bullshit in the interrum before I install my xFi card, games and music

Kinda broke ATM, but will be looking at adding 2 more 27" sammy's down the road for some nV surround fun ....

F1 2010 will be win sauce on three screens

What's up with the detail box in 01, anyone else having a problem with it ???

I am throwing the text file on the sceen shots for now, and creating 20 back ups so if it gets flaged it will be a battle of atrition ..........

Seems like P67 Asus board guys are having problems with the detail box. Not Gigabyte boards from what I have gathered.

Not sure whats up. Maybe a bios update ? idk.

Witchdoctor 01-30-2011 02:34 AM

fifth instalation disc, WTF , I know all of my disc's to be good ....

This one was on a yellow disc, must like yellow I guess ...........

Some funky shit going on with this new BIOS ........ :Dizzy:

7E weird...

It s a full XP install or a stripped one?

Witchdoctor 01-30-2011 05:10 AM

Full XP disc.

This is sort of like the weather, not sure what is going to happen ....... :Dizzy:

What I guess is so frustrating is the lack of knowledge from the Asus tech support.

It is like they are reading the shit of a piece of paper or something :argh:

O well, threw a few benches up for a couple of boints anyhow

Yeah. my mistake. 2x 580s better :)

Lost a Win 7 install last night, coupled with the problems of installing win XP.
Talked it over with Asus once again and they are saying now it is in fact a defective chipset but would not elaborate on how wide spread this is. They advised me to send it back.

Board going back for a refund, RMA approved, I will wait and see what happens for a while, when it works it is great but that is not 100% of the time. I think once they get this right it will be a great gaming platform IMHO

Sandy Bridge part 2 still to come

(((Do not buy this board under any circumstances)))
