yeah pause is essential as even full screen 720p its res'ed out.

According to my understanding, you need to bring available memory and system cache as close to as possible before you start your superpi run....

Yes for the long run you want them as close as possible, but getting the memory usage wayyyy down of all the programs will help bring your first iteration lower giving you a nice little boost on final score.

Thanks Splave. I've been trying to learn to Wazza my Pi times, but to no luck. Gonna work some more with what I've learned from this thread. :thumbsup:
