Especially WHQL drivers.
You have to un-install them and do it over.

I have done that a few times and even with some older ones etc. That didn't help.

I do not see how reinstalling Windows would not fix it if it was a driver issue.

You said that with the X300 it would not pass IBT, but then you said it passed 100 passes of IBT. What did you change?

When you reinstalled windows did you leave everything hooked up? Or had you pulled the vid/audio card popped in the X300 and reinstalled windows.

If you did the latter it shouldn't be a driver issue.

Safe mode is a "driver fail" test. alos windows has event viewer to show you stop errors, you could look at that and if it is a driver, it will be in there.

IT has no onboard audio chip, so would not be a conflict of a possible 3 audio devices on the PC. When you reset CMOS did you remember to disable onboard audio? You should not need to, but you do have a creative sound card and we know that is not a company that likes to place nice with its drivers/software.

Also what OS are you using? ore and more 7 bugs are being posted over at OCF. Might have a hardware comaptability issue (and yes they can just "suddenly appear")

I didn't change nothing, I ran Intel Burn test again and left the house. I had set it to 100 passes which is about 1.1 hours. I came back and it had a thing saying it had finished succesfully.

ok further update. GX2 is in, drivers installed Ran Furmark for about 7 minutes. Fan at 100% temps still reach by core 101/103șc http://tpucdn.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif

So far CPU tests fine/RAM/PSU/video card.

So looks like it was the sound card causing trouble. If I continue to have issues without the sound card, then i say blame the mobo.
