I'm glad you chose the safe side mate. The Q4EG is almost indestructible.

Batch 3003B242
This baby's going back for a replacement. Won't even boot at 4 Ghz without at least 1.35v under phase temps!
I think it's got a lousy IMC. Granted, I've maxed out the VTT I'm comfortable with at 1.475, but that's no reason to be able to bench friggin Vantage at higher clocks than SPI 1M....
On a side note, I really need to find the FB pin on this 5870 Lightning - cause it can bench 06 at 1350/1250 with 1.35v....

Oh yeah, Honda. Inconsistency is the name of this chip.
CB ~ -120
CBB ~ -80
QPI - never specifically tested, but I don't think I ever had it more than 3.6 ghz
In first few hours it seemed like it had no coldbug down to the -160's and CBB of -100 but the last few nights it's been following the above numbers consistently.

Using Classy 762 with evbot.
Super super fickle with boot setting changes on this chip. Get FF or 10 post codes with the slightest RAM timing change or voltage change. Every time, I have to start with ridiculously conservative settings (clocks, timings, voltages) and laboriously saving and resetting to inch my way up to 5 Ghz.
Then evbot up from there.
Sudden temp changes cause cold bug too. Have to go up a bit, bench some, then bump up again. If I go too quick it bugs.

Sounds like a PITA chip. Do you run your F1 mounts uber-tight? See if it gets better with a "Not so tight" mount.
