Default 5770 Vapro-X Review

I will only quote the interesting part

Quote:
Overclocking and gaming performance summary

Our look at the reference card's overclocking potential left us rather non-plussed. Barely able to overclock on the GPU but providing 17 per cent increase in memory bandwidth, we gained an extra 4.4 per cent performance across our range of games at the 1,920x1,200 resolution.

The Vapor-X scaled from 860MHz/4,800MHz to 981MHz engine and 5,676MHz memory, providing an average boost of 7.1 per cent across the games.

A change in driver, from 9.9 press to 9.11 final, shows little increase in performance, but the range of benchmarks indicate that the Radeon HD 5770 is able to push out passable frame-rates at 1,920x1,200 - the resolution that most users' monitors will maximise out at.
