Unhappy Hwbot drops support for F1OC

Looks like the wheels fell off the competition over at the bot. A damn shame. Oh well I guess. Really had no effect on peons like me that weren't allowed to compete.

The only real thing we had to watch was the drama at the end of the month.

To many rules left wide open, no control etc. There is no race really, just posting scores at the last minute on the last day and thats it.

I kind of feel like this... we see these same guys do fantastic over clocking all the time, what makes this F1 so special that would make us want to watch it, even if there was something to watch ?

The really sad thing is manufactures will more than likely "not" support another try, they will go you had your chance.

I am not very impressed with how TheOverClocker ran this thing, HWBOT had the right idea but lacked any form of support or what have you and in the end just got overridden by TheOverClocker by simply letting people just email in scores and not post anything. Whats the point in that ?

Also I feel that the TheOverClocker just used this whole comp to get support for his download PDF. Lets cook up an idea that we get sponsors to send us money/hardware etc for the PDF by getting this F1 race going. I am more interested now in seeing what the back room deals are for all this

You guys should see the kickbacks I get off the "Overclockaholics" Contests we run, We're talkin major deficit!!!!!! Muhahahaha doh

Seriously tho, this kinda stuff really muckies up the Overclocking Waters. Most characteristic of the Overclockaholics I've come to know is strength of character and sense of fairness and rigtheousness. I said "Most". But like everything else that comes in contact with money, its corruptable.

Looks like F1 is pretty much over now. XS just pulled its support of it.
