Anyone know what service/s not to disable or remove for maxmem when using nlite? Somehow I keep removing it.

Came up with a 100 MB XP that without waza was running the same times as my fastest waza runs. Problem is I couldn't adjust my maxmem to 600 so waza was pointless.

Just glad to have quit going backwards as I have the last week. Figure this maxmem service out in nlite and I might be back in the race for 3rd place! LOL

EDIT: I got it. Also got my XP down to 96 MB FTW.

If you just want to change your maxmem value, you can edit the boot.ini file in the root of the C drive.

If your install is missing msconfig, you can copy and paste from another XP drive.
I ran into this prob with Tiny XP or Chuck's XP, can't rememberwhich one.

I installed on OEM version of XP Pro and I don't have msconfig - could have sworn it was always there in the past

This ASUS board now refuses to load a XP OS on any type of drive.

What I found out was that I had to set the SATA on IDE and then it worked fine. Factory default is AHCI
