Spent 2 days getting XP, Vista and 7 tuned up for freezing the 4870X2 for some rockin hardware/team boints.

Then I f'd up voltage while preparing a bunch of bioses to flash during benches and killed the card.

So I did this instead.

That might get me 12's spot in the league. Temporarily.

LOL .........

Neither could I ...........

Here is my grasp on it, if anyone knows this to be off base please chime in as I am trying to get my head wrapped around this so I know how to proceed to max boints on my limited budget.

OK ....... This does not includ hardware masters as that counts them all but no Power points

Teams league

1. you will get 100% boints for your top 15 global efforts the rest are thrown away (Keep in mind they are ever changing and ultimantly loose value due to getting beat or new hardware release crushimg them)

2. You get 100% boints for your top 20 hardware efforts the rest are thrown away
(Keep in mind they are ever changing and ultimantly loose value due to getting beat)

3. This is based on our teams results only. If you are the best score in any hardware catagory you will recieve all those boints as long as they meet the top 20 criteria above
and be elgible for for the Hardware power points (Only one member on the team can meet this criteria for any said hardware)

4. If you are second or worse in any said hardware catagory you will only recieve 10% of the hardware value as long as it meets the top 20 criteria and power points are not awarded

So as stated on my past post, New hardware will always be a must to compete on a high level to maintain the best possible 15 global efforts

Hardware is where it gets tricky, lets say you have two instances that represent you two top hardware runs meaning highest value

the highest is a bronze worth 30 boints
the second highest is a 12th place worth 15 boints

On your bronze run you got beat by a team mate who got the gold, but on the 12th place run you were the highest recorded on the team

that bronze run would only be worth 3 boints for the team
the 12th place run would be worth 15 boints for the team and be elgible for the hardware power points let say it wwas 5.4 HPP's making this 12th place run worth a total of 20.4 points apposed to your bronze run that was actually a better effort.

I beleive this system is unsistainable and will be changed yet again in time

But as you can see a half assed run on crap hardware that no one else on the team has benched will reap more boint revenue than a way awsome 2nd place run on some hot rod hardware

I hope that clears it up Banik and I hope I have it right or I will have to read the whole damm thing over again

Allen is the expert on this subject though. This all stemmed from me trying to figure out waether to but a 7970 or a 6850 and 6870 .............

The teams are getting close and we need boints bad, either one would help the team but what corse will reap the most, the math is still in the works based on how bad these things pound 580 globals

i was wondering what's the minimum lowest t-boints you can get?
i been getting some 2.9~3.2s i was just wondering
been clocking some of those socket a like i promised, seems like my g.skill ultra 500 is kinda degraded or something cuz it don't wanna run spi 32 @ 200 2.5-4-4-7 anymore when it's rated at 250 at that timing
i am at 2.9v

Wow!!!!! Thanks a lot for the effort witchy.....This was really helpful. After the recent changes, I didnt really understand how I was contributing to the team points. Now I do know why I am so pathetic,

Awesome work Patch......#3 in the overclockers league, .....

If I would have been in US, would not have left bugging you without taking a Party,

Btw I said it earlier too, are you not considering switching to Pro OC League??? Being at the top of OC League is really a joke. It would still feel like Second rate if you ask me (though please dont think its to take away anything from the achievement. Its simply an outstandingly brilliantly awesome achievement)
