not a spot of vaseline on the board or the GPU...i hate that shyt. kneaded rubber eraser all around. you can see in the one photo that i use eraser on the board, then once i mount the card, i simply connect the board's eraser to the cards...all around the slot. completely air tight, completely sealed, and never get condensation anywhere except on the out side of the eraser. which is why i put shop towels around everything, then the frost just forms on the towels and not even on the eraser.
here is a shot of the front of the card without the towels...
and a shot of the back without towels...
i will basically stick this back in the slot, re form the complete seal of eraser around the PCI-E socket, then wrap the setup in a shop towel or two like in the previous photos and it is ready to go. 6 hours as cold as -140C last night an is easy as pie to remove (just 'rip' it out of the socket), and just as easy to re-insulate after drying off.

old Chilly1 SS tuned for E6600

never goes below -40C on the evap with an i7 and usually around -30C ~ -35C for all the work in the 01 challenge. definitely needs to be 'upgraded' for i7 but it does it's job of keep the CPU cold so i can run high uncore for memory testing.

But have also found on some cards, you can get the same kind of looking screen with the mem to cold.
I almost never run them under -60 or soo, but have done -120, but that just makes other issues.
The Teks are a pice of art, if you are using a 5.0, wait till you try the older 3.0, it's even better at holding a load.
Oh man, 1152 on air, that sucks, never had one that bad before.

cool, will keep that in mind for moving up memory clocks, definitely no issues at 1152 with the pot at -120C ~ -140C though, so hopefully that is a good thing. maybe they just clock like crap at ambient but will be a bit better with some cold...fingers crossed.
