If there is a way to use the ROG connect feature to get a bios dump from the competition board that would be nice too

no not really, just what can be found on the ASUS site. 402 was the bios we were on at the compo. It was good but not perfect IE set some random voltages think one of the ich or ioh voltages decided to go to 2v or something on its own.

The different cooling mode options, the bios engineer didnt even know what they did so I wouldnt worry about them. hmm what else, I know you can flash the bios with just a PSU connected to the board which is kinda cool.

Also pure didnt even use VRM sinks on their board the power circuitry is epic.

Board is present and accounted for including 3003 of the Alpha Quandrant. I'm seriously thinking of bailing out on the new work "forum developement committee" and taking vacation for the rest of the month. They'd prolly pitch a huge fit seeing as I'm the only knucklehead with a clue how to operate it.

Better send that back and tell them to kindly replace it with a B batch.

That's the spirit. If it don't clock good, make it clock good with 2v+. Then send the busted junk back to intel. I like where you're going with this. IMHO, everygbody should do this just to tell intel to piss off with their high prices and all over the place batches on 32nm.

Agreed! They have more cash than god itself and can take a little hit. They posted a large gain for the last quarter so they can take it.

Well I would like to say that Thuban or AMD's next arch will drive intel's prices down. I mean you can so far get i7 920 clock for clock performance for the same CPU price, but the top end board is way way less than 1366. $230 for Crosshair IV and what, $400+ for 1366 board.

In reality though, if anything intel will lower their prices oh so slightly, and AMD will creep theirs up to expand margins. No company wants to sell a hexacore for $300.
