I understand what both of you are saying and how they can go hand in hand. I must exercise patience, and have lots of towels on hand for when I do need to torch, but I don't want to torch unnecessarily.

I'm saving the new stuff for another day, but the info is certainly welcomed. I'm going to do as many of my 939 cpus as I can get to this time. More points.

EDIT: the list includes a 4200+, Opty152, Opty170, and hopefully get the FX-55 and 3700+ done too. It's all going to go very smoothly you see. So many WRs your heads will spin. Probably not, but hopefully a few more silvers.

They are old and steel and are glass lined. I had one too. Poured in a pot of coffee one winter day and SHATTER.

I am referring to the green stanley brand one. I do not know about the other.

I can see the seam where the metal is joined/welded up the side of the interior of the Stanley thermos. I'm pretty positive it is not glass....perhaps you had a different one. Thanks for the warning just the same.

I got the stuff

Insulation is done, some fans are setup, probe hole is drilled and probe installed, I have the BernzOmatic fatboy full of Map gas.

I think I'm ready to actually mount the pot.

Last minute advice?

use ceramique...

warm the pot to 30-40c...apply ceramique on the pot...so its soft like butter...

then mount on the cpu...
