You don't want propane. At least I have never seen anyone use propane.

Just go to your local home Depot store. trigger ignition and adjustable flame is a must. The blue tanks work fine if you want to save some cash. The temp difference is a mateer of probably 20- 30 seconds depending on how big the temp swing is. To me it dosn't really matter. But if the temp swing is like 80 -100 degrees, obviously the Mapp (yellow) will get you there faster. If i had a chip that bad i'd ditch it anyway. LOL Blue is propane and Yellow is Mapp Gas.

I use Propane all the time. It's not that much slower and costs alot less.

^ true I have a bottle of the blue and yellow, cant tell the difference except the MAPP smells worse imo (and my gf's)

Mapp does smell crazy.

So this looks to be good to me. Almost $20 cheaper. It has the TS3000 tip on it. Wonder how much of a difference between it, the ts4000 and the ts8000? I guess the ts4000 and 8000 are strictly for mapp?
