The biggest flaw with AM3 right now is the cpu power design, it's a bit weak for heavy overclocking.

I've noticed that too. Why don't they make beefy PWM's like for intel?

I read a few months ago that both Intel and AMD were pushing motherboard manufacturers for 200 Watt capacity.

From what I read about i7s actual consumption vs what is being reported, it could be that the Intel manufacturers listened.

Phenom II 955 shows a 110W differnce between idle and load power usage. (Pretty hefty)

The i7 systems show a 130 to 150+ W difference in idle and load usage. The differnce in idle and load usage is actually higher than the rating of the CPU.
