Oh, I get that all the time when swapping things around. No big deal tho as I just activate over the phone...only takes about five minutes or so.

I have copies of every single OS. I have pages of codes I've compiled over the years. I do exactly the same thing you do.
A resourceful guy knows where to find whatever software he needs.

I've had a couple of instances where the damned robot takes the numbers then tells me "tuff shit pal, that number's no good anymore, thank you for calling" and hangs up - so - I call right back and go through the exercise again but at the end the second time it asks how many computers I've installed the software on, and I answer truthfuly ONE. the bot says , oh ok, thank you for activating your Microsoft software, good bye

Yup. That's part of my routine.
