Its pretty easy actually on Gigabyte.....I used the same concept of SB ocing and it worked(my chip was 5.4Ghz, so only till that). Will update with my Gigabyte settings if you want in a couple of hours.....

I got so many settings in the bios, CPU tweaker, GPU tweaker, mem tweaker, ETC. Yeah that's how I got 5.2Ghz. The voltage was starting to surpass the Ghz, not sure when to turn off the hyperthreading. If its like my old SB then I need to turn it off soon? Can some one message me the Rive settings around 5.4Ghz just wanna see if it will do it..
I also can't open AI in windows...........it shows it running in the back ground.
thank you!

My chip gets to 5.5+ using mostly auto settings, other than the basic voltages that I manipulate. BCLK just barely over 100, it doesn't like std OC with the 125 BCLK so IIRC, I start with the gamers OC, then make all the cores the same and enable on screen core adjustments. Boot into the 4s and use software to raise the cores and voltages... slowly. This is on SS
My chip seems to like HT on and actually runs faster with HT on. ?? Mine is a 3960X so I don't know how much if any that changes things to your chip?
BTW, it's CPU Tweakers Paradise, etc Damn BIOS gives me a headache
Unless I'm missing it, the ROG connect won't let you raise cores, which is why I use Turbo V
