Totally chip based from what I understand.

If I had the money to buy. I would wait a month or so and see if anyone comes out with a board that adds its own multipliers that can increase BCLK ability.

From an serious overclockers point of view. For just having the best new toys. You can't beat 5 GHz on air for desktop/gamer OC play machine

Now that I've seen what seems to be the ultimate SB high I may be chasing the dragon once this chip goes retail.

Metaphorically speaking of course

The reason some guys can air bench at almost 5.5Ghz (on Intels Burrage mobo) and others at only 4.8-5.2Ghz (on Asus, Gigabyte, mobos ect) is due to a setting thats only available on the Intel P67 boards at the moment. Its called "Internal PLL voltage Override". Hopefully all OEM Motherboards will have this feature via a bios update upon official release.

Slight change of plan. After reading a few reviews I've decided to only pick up a 2600K for now.
