I was gonna ask.. why did hex core allowed in this?
i know it only uses two cores but at the sametime the extreme ones are like higher QPI and all and surely is faster then our little cheep stander i7s

Updated with a stock HTPC run that smoked my overcloked AMD run. Smoked it by about a minute. Can't really overclock the HTPC due to cooling problems. Do have plans of taking the chip out next week and ripping it. Got to do something in the mean time while waiting on my mobo and RAM to get her. Last place still FTW!!! lol

I haven't done anything for 2 days besides got ready for some RE3 action. Its my wifeys B-day so I can't be spending too much time in my office or penalty is coming. Looks like I'll give it a go on Saturday again.

Had to reinstall a few times tonight maxing out uncore and timings... pita...

Didn't make the deadline for subs tonight, but I'll hopefully have something tomorrow.

is this a confirmed working tweak? Install windows with overclocked system? Never really understood the logic hence never tried.......

Try installing with just 1 stick of ram, then add your other sticks later. You'll see how much slower your os is for everything. Don't know why, but I've seen this happen a couple times.
