This has been the story since the beginning of time. And it's the reason these cards are always tough to bench. They just can't seem to get a hold on making good drivers, ever. It's a big waiting game. There's probably not going to be any decent drivers until Lightning releases. That will probably be in Feb when the CUII cones out.

We will be lucky if it is that quick, 5K release early December and no good driver untill 10.3 / 4 Months late and 6K is there a good driver ........ LOL

Thanks Witch, its because of you and DOM guiding me that playing with 7970 was a lesser pain in the as$, however still had to install the OS thrice. Now running retail Win7 like you, .

Have already ordered the EK bracket. Planning to do OCP Mod once the bracket arrives.

Btw HIS Distri owner in India who also used to be an enthusiast was telling me that HIS gets to cherry pick even their reference GPUs, can some1 confirm that???

I can't confirm that but 1340 core on air I think pretty much speaks for itself and if not all HIS are cherries your's sure is, with the mod, I have to think many Lightning and Matrix cards won't be able to keep up with that chip.......... Tear it up Banik, now all AMD has to do is release some half way decent drivers for XP
