I completly disagree Banik

If anything I think the OC league is more prestigous than the pro league.

No suckleware users here, no disrespect to Pro suckleware users.

It is just a different playing field when you had to spend the money for the parts IMO

Yup no doubt it and I completely agree that spending your own money to set records is much more harder and respectful as well (and as we all know though Splave is in Pro-OC but he receives only handful of a product but spends a hell lot more from his own pocket)

But I dont remember where exactly but its the Pro-OC league ranking which is being displayed on the right hand side of hwbot. Which is what everyone sees. For OC League ranking one has to select a drop down and select OC League. You see the difference. Not everyone would even see those ranking except for a few who are regular on hwbot or want to check their own ranking etc.

I see your point bro, but in all due respect, Evreyone in the overclocking league knows very well who Patch is. Ahhhh lets just say one of the most prolific overclockers in the world today. he along with Joey and Bren have competed on a world stage with the best in the business and none are in the pro leauge. When Al competed at that level he was not in the pro league at that time. And I think it is a fiar statment to say these 4 gentlement are some of the best in the business hands down. I would think all thier peers would agree with that statment being pro's or not.

Titles are what they are but Michael Jackson said it best

"I don't want to spend my life being a color"

That is reflecting on race but it works the same way in overclocking, why spend your time being a title, is it not enough just to be one of the best at what you do? and does someone joining the pro league or dropping to the enthusisat level make them any better or worse at overclocking ???

I for one would be happy if it just returned to the way it was, one league

IMO there are two leagues within the pro league, company employees and regular joe overclockers like suicide phoenix (great guy btw)

I can list what ive gotten for free, a Rampage IV extreme, a MSI 560TI, GTX580 lightning (after breaking the heaven single card WR), 6970 lightning, G.skill 16gb kit, some thermaltake PSU's and a keyboard, thortech psu, geil 16gb kit, mouse.... and it turns out im spending more than I ever have to keep up and make people happy. $1100 chip and $600 motherboard to bench a $300 memory kit rofl! Im very humble to it actually and it goes to show if you want to get there you can, takes a shitload of time and shitload of money but its possible if you want it. To me it is a side effect of doing what I love so its all good...

LOL ........... Dude you are just an outright overclocking animal ............

The skill, money and time you put into this is incredible ..........

And for the record, This was the way I have felt since the NBOC days when we used to just talk about guys getting free shit. You have arived my friend and deservingly so. So whether you are a Pro, extremeOC or enthusisast makes little difference to me.

Me I love to bench, for fun, I am not so sure I would like the pressure you speak of, buying a 1K CPU to bench a half baked kit ....... LOL I don't think so, the least they could have done is send you the 600 dollar kit ......

Bastards ............

That sounds like a sound plan.

A-cards. Now that's serious benching.

No desire to go pro. Already have a nice career and there's no way in hell any company would pay me enough to make it worth my time to bench their stuff. Too many strings for me. Only exceptions would be if Intel wanted to give me 100 chips to bin, or if ASUS/MSI gave me 10 cards to bin. There are only 2-3 people in that situation, and they truly work FOR the companies.

Top benchers all know who the top benchers are. The front hwbot page is really for the manufacturers.
