Been a long time since I did the math... 2000/1.4 = ~1430 MHZ max stock volts?
Same on this end just Samsung mem. We'll see.

BTW: Is this the mod you will be using?

No I have the 584 with infineon chips. Worse mem clocks but longer lasting RAM...thats for the original 7900GT's.

It's similar but OCP is said to be different (although they don't work apparently on the newer cards) the left OCP chip in that image is actually add a 100K in parallel (or pencil mod it to 47K) for switching frequency stability beyond 1.2volts.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...61&postcount=2 This post explains it.

vMem is the same i think but even with mod not expecting more than 900MHz due to the ICs.

Thanks will do that...

Curious though these mods are showing 10K 50K 100K variable resistors being added and what I measured on both 7600s and the 7900 the resistance ranges from .44 kOhm to .67kohm without power applied... (would not think it needs power applied for resistance maybe it does though).

Isn't the formula "measured resistance x20?" or something like that?

Yes, measure resistance without power.

I had a couple EVGA 7600 GT's I tried to mod and bench a few months back, but the memory was super ultra crappy crap. So crappy, that a hefty GPU overclock was completely worthless. I'll see if I can find the mods.

If you have it set to 20KOhms yeah I think so... mine is auto ranging though so I thought should be straight up.

yeah these ones have crap mem too.. DDR2 so not expecting a huge improvement without getting them up to speed. think I had almost NO overclock though with them at default voltages..

Poking around hte back of the N7600B rev 2.3 PCB (vmods I found are for 2.2) Im guessing hte read points are on the front of the card. I found 12v read points a HUGE amount of 5V read points...

The caps by the gpu core read 1.35v except the lowest one reads 1.25v,

Think I should give up on this crad. Not going to get me a lot of boints any way. Just move on to the good 7600gt KO, the 7800gts the 7900gt and the 9500Gt.

I got pictures of everything and when I am all done and everything works I will document them in the threads here.

One thread per card for easier reference.

Just measured the 7600KO and looks like the mod will be good and easy to do. Wish I have not wasted so much time on the rev 2.3 card.

Okay looks like this is going to take a little longer than I had hoped :(

Cant find my molex tool, my razors ARGH. I hate doing shit half-assed whne I do own the correct tool for the job. Going to tear everything apart get organized and start anew in a couple of hours. With a clean and tidy work space (at least until I start modding again).

Sucks trying to cram a living quarters, office, work shop and benching area into one room, but its only for a couple more months.
