Default E758 22x multi

Anyway to disable that without losing the 21x multi?

I tried disabling turbo, but it will not let me set 21x in the BIOS

If I am going to get up to 5 Giga HURTS I need the 21x multi

Could not figure out why I was having so much trouble at 4.67 HTT last night until I saw the 22x multi on core0 in E-Leet. Then I realized I was pushing almost 4.9 on one core... pretty sure that 1.45 volts is not enough for that LOL

Saw on other boards you can disable C state (separate from CxE IIRC) to stop 22x multiplier. But I do not have that option in the BIOS unlike my super cheap MSI board.

So far this board is amazingly strong, but so damn finicky and buggy

That's what I thought you were talking. Now I am really confused with the whole 22 mult talk.

Turbo mode adds 2x multi on core 0 and 1x multi on cores 1-3.

Might want to rig up a chiller and push the volts....

I would imagine that the extra 1x multi would help out on 2d benchies, but I have been wrong before.

Oh yah I DO intend to take advantage of the 22X multi later

Would like to disable it though for now. Guess I can try the 20X multi, just means 5% more BUS needed. Since I have also read that even multis do not clock as well that would mean dropping down to 19x though. Which is unacceptable :(

Will play around with 20X tonight and see what I can get done

As far as I know some mobos will allow for a 22 mult on core 0 if you change some settings in the bios to certain things but only a few mobos allow for this. Not to mention you can get real high MHz with this mult so it is pretty much pointless and I doubt you will obtain 5ghz with it. Still confused as why you would want the 22 mult. Your best bet is 21 mult.

I do not want the 22X multi, I want to get rid of it :p

So far only solution I was able to find was changing Cstate, but no option for that in BIOS (except CxE which is already disabled)

Here I shut off 3 cores to use 22x multi for 2D benching.
