Could you use this as a means of upgrading cheaper cards? Or is the only benefit for voltage control

Voltage control and higher OC's, better use LN2 to make it worth while

bill is right, but for a short benching run, a small voltage bump i have seen huge gains even on a stock cooler.... then i got greedy and cooked it.

+1 Small bumps are best for stock coolers. You'll know when you've used too much because the caps start to squeal.
