70% idle fan, because it cant run low voltage... isnt ATi having those issues as well? Can't do their lowest p-state without crashing? Not saying ati needs 70% fan speed (its 1/3rd the size isnt it?) Also from what I have read about the TSMC process. ATi spent a lot of time working on the thermal issues, and has a huge leg up over nVidia in that area.

It's great toget excited, but just like Cypress... the pre-release documentation does not equal the release product. If nVidia made drastic changes like they are talking, it might not actually be a great bointing card. The test out today are because the cards today are the same as the cards when 3d01 came out.. just more powerful...
