Ahh.. I looked up your card (Im not used to dedicated RAID cards)

ATTO was benching the onboard cache I suppose
This bodes well since it can handle a number of drives it should at least post well into the 2GB/s range
WITHOUT taxing the CPU.
I need to get my a HW RAID card. First thing though is more HDD/SSDs
