What I do know is that 12gb is gonna give you poop timings and mhz vs running 6GB due to IMC stress. If what you said was true about volume of memory XP 32-bit and 2003 server 32-bit wouldn't be the choice for super pi.

you can control how much xp need for memory. but you can't control how cpu address the memory.
so its 6gb vs 12gb
