If I had the money to buy tools to work with metal. Believe me, I would work with metal. IT is much easier to do (if you have the tools) and you can build lighter, stronger things with it. Do not have to worry about angles and such with flanges and bolt throughs...
I do not even have a good wood working setup. I am as ghetto as you can get
