http://www.techpowerup.com/101136/In...um_E6500K.html I found this to be very interesting and looks fun to play with. Price is right too. Buyin one of these puppies as soon as it drops. I miss my 775 platform believe it or not! |
looks very nice, i believe i will get one too... as i just got 2 new 775 toys to play with :morpheus:
|
Sweet, and the K instead of EE means they do not have to bump the price $800 :)
Could be very interesting, although with 775 your going to want to bus clock it anyway, the unlocked multi is a nice touch |
Omg unlocked multi...i hadn't seen that since X6800...Nice!!!
|
should be interesting! im in the process of building an i7 950 based system ohcrap
but it looks like ill hang on to my rampage :) especially since someone mentioned he missed his 775 riggage! |
Cracks 5ghz already. Hopefully it doesn't require that much vcore. Time will tell. Anyone notice what revision it is, R0?

CPUz shots are now showing vcore ?
I havent been able to upload any lately and I saw on that it shows his vcore. Nice chip there, must resist more 775 cpu's LOL |
Looks like it could be fun. Remember anyone clocking these cache neutered 45nm chips, they do not like high VTT ;)
|
@ buckeye - Yeah 1.52 shows vcore now.
@ karmakazi - I just found out that my 920 doesn't like high vtt either. I was using 1.5ish at around 5ghz and beyond but tried backing it off to 1.4v and everything ran just fine. Go figure. |
"Details include a FSB multiplier of 24.0x (24 x 211.2 MHz), and a high vCore of 1.736V"
ugh 1.7 volts and 5GHz on LN2, not going to be pretty for Air guys |
