thank you for posting this man :)
I'll ready it when I have a few, I just got home from work. |
Good read his bullet points need some work though.
point 2 I have only been OCing for a bout a decade, but softclocking memory to the bleeding edge in windows has always produced system lockups for me. Sometimes I get the BSOD, but usually it requires a Raytheon reset. (hard power cycle) and point 3. Just means that he is running an Intel CPU, Large L2/L3 cache means memory is not getting accessed up to the 2M test. Doubled to 4M now he hits onboard memory, and crashes. Seems obvious to me.. (so I must be wrong lol) |
Really interesting article, with important info:D

hmmm...I got a MSI eclipse, time to test out the theory, I guess.....

I did the tests with REX2( at ocxtreme I'm registered as linky):D |
Yeah B2B makes a huge impact. On the eclipse plus, I was able to get 2000mhz 7-8-7 bandwidth @ 1650mhz 7-7-7- :D

It would be nice to see other manufacturers put out new bois' in light on this.
