SO little update on this board, first off I messed with a few pins popped in my i5 2500K. the board powered on but no boot.
Second, my picture making abilites are crap but one rule to never forget when trying to fix anything really. IS NEVER OVER WORK SOMETHING, which I was VERY TEMPED TO DO! But this voice inside me kept saying, though the pins do in fact look bent they are not the cause of the no boot issue(plus one pin is ready to snap off). In steps the voice of reason, and it tells me to look the whole board over with a fine tooth comb. As it is a pain in the rear to remove my 2500K from my other board I fixed. BOOM!! Upon close examination of the rear side of the board a resistor is missing, which means we got dis chit!:good: I do need a(detailed) picture of the back side of this board(Z77) and if someone really wants to make my day, if they could measure the resistance I would be deeply indebted to them!!!! Here's some pictures, some tools of the trade and the suspect in question. keep in mind my eyes are VERY BAD!!!:cool3:, though I wear glasses they are in fact hand me downs.................... |
How do you 'hand me down' a pair of glasses?
