1Q13 Nvidia Titan
Poised some where between a 680 and a 690 it is a single GPU monstrosity packing over 7 billion transistors, and almost 2700 CUDA cores (although they have said that number is not fixed some may get full 2880 CUDA cores) This GPU is downclocked to 730 MHZ to meet wattage performance and packs on 6GB of 5.2GHz VRAM.
this is basically a Tesla K20X GPU accelerator card (used in some supercomputers) without the $3200+ price tag (at least, not if they expect to sell any to desktop users) |
will this be the be called the GTX 780 and be the last train until Maxwell ? or is this ala GTX 685 like ?
Have not read anything on Titan |
Not sure some sites say it is a 600 series called Titan others claim it to be 700 series.
The person that benched it originally speaks chinese so I have no idea. http://www.redquasar.com/forum.php?m...extra=page%3D1 Supposedly NO it not 700 series GPU but it is a GK110 Tesla core. |
:ohcrap: Hey Tu , need translation bro .........
Gotta love te name ....... |
Interested.
|
I downloaded drivers from the Nvidia website yesterday for my 680 - they are already listing a 700 series geforce in their drop down menu, but I can't find much mention of anything imminent on the web. Think it was Tom's hardware that said something about a March 2013 rollout
|
I have not found anything that is halfway believable, wonder why they are keeping this so close to the cuff ??? think they would have review units out and about if a March release had any validity ???
been reading as late as June .............. :ohcrap: |
makes no sense, why have it on the update list when the card doesn't exist yet?

GK110 was developed for proffesional level grapghics and is already availible, at least I think so
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6446/n...rrives-at-last http://www.overclockaholics.com/foru...1&d=1359752298 The Titan is aimed at entusiasts, ......... being a singel core anyone who wishes to stay in the global hunt will have to buy or be decimated is my guess, As I have to think this thing will destroy current 680's if the estimated 50% increase hold true a 100% overclock on a 680 could theroretically  be out matched by a 35% overclock on the 685 or what ever it is called. This probaly makes no sense what so ever except in my little world and how I rayionalize shit :ohcrap: http://techreport.com/review/22989/a...raphics-chip/3 http://www.pcper.com/news/Graphics-C...-late-February |
