Technically? Yes. A 15A wall socket is good for 1800W.

If its a GFCI it will trip much lower. (I did it with a AX1200 :) )

A standard 15A is good for approx 1350ish

1800 your looking more around 20A

Mathematically untrue. but it all depends on the quality of your line and circuit breakers I suppose. 1350 is probably right for most circuits. but I have been in houses where a AC unit did not trip the breaker when a PC was running on the same line. But line was new.

I know mathematically but I speak from what I have seen common...

Mathematically 50 percent of homes would probably burn an outlet or pop a breaker at upwards of 1300W tbh.

if every house was new it would be awesome but we know how that goes

My house is 106 years old :ohcrap:

MOST of the wiring was replaced in 1997.. prob is, don't know what all wasn't
