EVGA 9600GT Vmod
Having a hard time with this card so far I've been able to reach 880/1045mem @ 1.44vgpu and 2.05vmem in 06, load temp on WCing is 32c max. Card is hit or miss @ 900core pretty much seems like passed a few times but just luck I think. I've tried all the way up to 1.5vgpu no help. After hitting a wall with the gpu I did the Vmem used a 100k vr turned it all the way down giving me 2.2v which is rated max. I couldn't get the card to pass at 880/1045 thinking the block could have been too tight. Currently prepping the card for 0-7c and I've taken off the 100k vr for the mem. Any thoughts to why 900 passes once in awhile or is there anything I could try to get a higher OC?
Also I'm using 6.3v 1000uf caps I might have some 2.5v 826 uf on a dead board. All the votlage to the gpu is done from the Vid switch mod, trying to fine tweak the Vgpu 100k vr hits OCP pretty easy. http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/8...c04239x.th.jpg http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/7243/dsc04237.th.jpg http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/8...c04236j.th.jpg |
the 8800/9800 series scales well with 0C temps...32c won't cut it for 950mhz+
nice mods .. |
Ahh I see hope I can get it cold enough...
Hope the ribbon switch looks nice took me about a half an hour solder just right, could have ripped it apart but where's the fun in that lol |
how hard is it to solder something on a vga pcb board?
|
It's not really to hard just need a steady hand and learning to tin makes the job much easier. My problem was not tearing apart the wires so I had to be careful to not pull off wire 1 when soldering wire 3 ect...
Also using a 40 watt gun doesn't help lol I've burnt up some pads along the way. Like overclocking I've found there's tweaks and helpful tips to make it enjoyable. |
