SLI problem
I have not run into this before...I have two 8800 GTX cards that I have in the past run in SLI, but now can't seem to get them to do so. It shows both cards in gpu-z but no option to SLI in the control panel. I have tried three different drivers to no avail. I even replaced the bridge with no effect...any ideas?
EDIT: Now I can't even enable PhysX in the control panel even tho it clearly shows it enabled in gpu-z...geez, why always me? http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/q...69/SLI_bug.jpg http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/q...gpu-z_both.jpg |
wth 8800gtx nice cards :D
|
I really have three of these but one quit on me long ago. They worked well in tri-sli. This is bugging me out.

i had the same problem with kingpins 8800gts... i don't quite remember how i fixed it...

Were you running another type of card other than that? Gotta reinstall windows. Thats how green team rolls. lol
MY luck with nVidia so far has been 0 for 10 years now. unless the card is so old it is supported in windows natively. MS drivers FTW! Seriously though, drivers sweeper/cleaner? |
I see voodoo in my future this w-end. I took the cards out and checked them single...one showed correctly and the other...
http://i434.photobucket.com/albums/q.../deadcard2.jpg Double checked and the next time the dead card showed normal. I tried them in SLI one more time but no go. Now I go into the other room to report these findings to you and I see the monitor is off on my main rig which is still running...wtf. Couple of re-boots gives me blue screens. I bring the hdd in the next room and boot with it on this pc...blue screen. This is the second hdd I have lost in that rig in two weeks. This is not what I had planned for this w-end dammit. I'm wondering if that scorched 980X might be the culprit. |
if you have a infrared thermometer.....that might show some stuff..

Honda - I've always wanted to ask...do you do drugs?
|
i don't
ddr3 is hot on the older video cards..they die easily... |
