Mine won't read two probes at once now, I dunno wtf is up.

just now?

Patch 06-08-2010 08:09 PM

My old battered DT200 has had the same issue the last few months.

1 probe OK
2 probes I get wildly weird readings - super high temps on one and super low on the other.

It fixed itself for one battery change, but the problem is back for the last few batt changes.

Funny thing is I started having the exact same problem with an el cheapo from Hong Kong. Been using separate probes for things.

Yea mine is a POS too. I lost calibratioon a while ago. Threw it on the shelf and bought a Extech. UEi read is off by aboout 40 degrees.

What batteries are you guys using? Have any of you tried cheap branded batteries?

Hondacity 06-09-2010 04:50 AM

i think we ought to replace the batteries when the battery light is blinking...mine died completely so it prolly lost its charge...

i'll call uei today

I had a DT302 . Batteries last looonger than DT200, that's for sure :D
It is as fast as Fluke series 5 . No difference .
Never had a problem with it , I bought it brand new though .
That's my experience on it :D

Hondacity 06-09-2010 05:28 AM

what i'm trying to message out is ...change the battery when its blinking..but for now..i'll do rma on it.

Jor-El 06-09-2010 06:21 AM

Funny my UEI did the same thing after my battery was dying. I changed for a new 9v one but the temp sensors are not accurate anymore, I retired it and got another Fluke...
