478 mod help please
 

i just wipped out my old 478 board and about 10 of those chips :D
i been overclocking but the thing is that my board dosn't have any kind of voltage options...
my board is a Biostar P4M900-M4 i don't really want get a new board because simply it has DDR2-support..

i been looking around internet and seems like i just can't find anything about vmod for 478 motherboards...
and i already tried the mod in my attachment and the and dosn't seem to work at all...
i don't know why...

it boots and all that... but no voltage will not change at all... it stays in 1.5V
maybe i am doing it wrong...
i have the Northwood Pentium 4 3.0GHz FSB 200 x15 L2-512KB

If you can take some pictures of the IC chips around the cpu socket and list the numbers on top of the chips maybe I can help you out.

I found this pic on the web. Get me the numbers off these chips and I will see what I can do.

Pin 9 to ground. Do you have all the proper equipment to vmod?

Pin 9 = FS?
solder that to the grounding point?!:blink:
the chip is a little too small

i have never done a vmod before this is my fist

I would just send it to OC :) he has the epic solder station of the FUTURE....Future.......future !!

Yeah, if this is your first mod I would recommend having a backup board or sending it to someone. This one takes a seasoned hand, small tip and skinny solder.

It's really easy to bridge the points on that chip. Be careful! :ohcrap:

If you don't have the proper equipment for modding I would HIGHLY recommend you not do it. If you would like me to do for just let me know.

people here are too nice to me, i am not the best overclocker in here, even with the vmod i don't think i can became first place, i don't want to waste other people's time
it is already kind enough that you guys help me all this time help me looking around and find all the answer that i needed =)
i will order some new solder tip and try do it myself
