i have always though xfx is like a replica of evga or something cuz they have like almost the same EVERYTHING!

a quick hello to everyone..Im doing a new x79 build for my water cooled rig and I want one of these...I have had a few xfx cards..I dont remember a downside..I had the Black before...

never used XFX cards, but it looks to be a reference design with a higher clocked bios an possibly a sprinkle of vcore

the matrix and Lightning will be ready for prime time I am guessing

but there are dogs and hot rods in any cards as usual I would suspect

If you are talking gaming then I would say no, jump on two reference boards, get what you can out of them for 24'7 and start wasting dudes now with max eyecandy ............ :thumbsup:

For boints though, yes I think it is worth waiting or grab one bench it for early globals and get rid of it fast in preperations for the the cards aimed at cold benching as they will eventually take the top spots

It looks like multi card solutions are where the boints are though. Single card dosn't look all that great. as far as boints go. Well wtf though Andres core clock is fucking 1780mhz. next inline is a mere 1300. In 3D03 marks. But still untouchable. There goes that marketing thing again. For real though it does not matter as if you are in it for the globals it is almost must have with nV looking to be a minimum of 3 months behind that could turn into 6 if they have trouble with the new fab

If I could sell my x58 platform I could afford some Xfire action ......... a lightning would be way awsome as that could give me a card to go cold with and being I only have one pot CF with one reference all be it a good one would not be too bad

If I remember correctly the last time I benched, the 5870 was the hot ticket. Then the ever fail 5870 lighting that most were pissed about, an we were all waiting on Fermie an that came out in a may release.

you know, stress is the mother of most screw-ups..I had to go home..it was my duty..I didnt want to go a 1000 miles away..but I did..I stressed over it for weeks before I left...I did act like a asswipe here..leting it eat at me but I always liked it here...hope you can figive it...How are you big guy...?????
