13th issue is out. They gave Rom and Splave a corner of a page, lol. Still waiting for the day they tell how a team of a few guys ranked nothing in the US let alone the world developed into a team of 44 and took the US crown away from XS and are currently placed 8th in the world. That team being OCA. Did it in under a year at that. Maybe I'm just dreaming.

I always keep hope alive. It's just sad as I believe that was the greatest overclocking story last year.

With some of NBOC and and other forum members jumping on board along with the core Overclockaholics. What OCA pulled off in 2010 simply may never be repeated again ....

OCA started the year around 5K and ended with 28K

23K jump repeated would sit us at the 51K mark by years end to put it into prespective.

I would like to think the OC'ing community knows we are for real by now ....... :thumbsup:

I haven't read the article about it yet. Sandy Bridge's efficiency killed this board IMO. That and the inconsistancy of the 980/990x's out there in retail. I mean the Rampage Extreme came really late to the party, but the situation was different IMO. I agree though, just a few months earlier and this would have been totally kick ass. Now I don't know how many they will sale and that sucks because they may not want to make the variant for s2011.

Everyone is excited about 1155. Only thing a x58 is good for now is kind of 06, and vantage. And am3 + 05 if your cpu is beast :P.

And vantage is booooring! + vantage you can play at 5.5ghz don't need a strong board or cpu.

So yea like you said, sales won't be that high, then head office will be like naaaah OC boards don't sell. But if they made P67A-OC i think it would have been #1 seller at this moment

Right. See when the Rampage Extreme came out the X58 hadn't launched. Now the OC board has a competing platform to go up against that gives you more points for the buck. Plus even when X58 launched it was slow at 01 which still made the Rampage an awesome board to own. SB destroys s1366 in 01 and is way too expensive to play Vantage and 06. If Gulftown was stronger in a wider variety of benches then things could/would change a little bit. As of right now I just don't see too many self-funded overclockers (ie; actually buy the OC boards) willing to shell out $1000 for the CPU + buy the board to score in just two benches. Why do that when you can buy a nice SB setup for the price of the locked i7 970 and pwn a majority of benches on hwbot?

can't even compare.

If there was a cpu like 925k (6core 32nm cheap unlocked cpu) things would have been different :). But noooo intel insist on making this unbinnable 1000$ thing.

Ive had 2 and they both suck major piss, never again I told myself after the 2nd one :) 3x2600k is more fun then 1x990x anyways!

I hope Giga does give these boards a chance with 2011
