My 1st Intel Build
 

I came across an MSI Big Bang X-power and a 920 DO so cheap there was no passing it up. I sold my 1090T in a heartbeat.

It came all covered in ~2 pounds of vaseline :laughing:

Anyways I cleaned her up real nice and am here to show you how pretty she looks all dressed in blue. :D

As you can see in the last picture, I had to dremel-mod the F1EE hold down plate to get it in there. I used the same old waterblock from socket 939.....I just turned it sideways and held it down with the F1EE base and top.

Seems to work pretty well so far. Last night upon initial testing Core-Temp was reading -7s until I tried Prime blend for a few minutes which showed me as high as 3C with 4 cores @ 100% load. Although that was @ default everything I am still very pleased. :thumbsup:

I just used a hairdryer mostly, the sink sprayer was a quick failed experiment. Once I had it pretty clean I let it sit on the baseboard electric heater where it got pretty damm hot and continued to run off. I turned it and wiped the drips over and over and now it's almost unnoticeable. :thumbsup:

I'd do it again.

I baked it in the oven, then washed it with dish soap, then baked it again. Worked like a charm ;)

I would have used the dishwasher, but it's out of order.

More importantly, WHAT was he doing with it?
