Gotcha. Brought my setup back in the house where it is warm to figure this RAM out. It's holding me back I believe.

I need to get some new rams, my hypers aint jiving with SB.

Mobo is holding me back from better RAM. Can't get another mobo as they are pulled from the shelves so I am stuck with what I gots. Would have loved to gotten the 2133MHz version of the RAM I have now.

Glad to be back in the 400 point club again.

One thing annoying about this mobo is I will set a timing or subtiming, reboot and it will be stuck at the previous value. It will show the vlaue I set it to but won't run it. I have to "Load Optimized Settings" in BIOS, reboot and then set it to what I want.

Oh man, that sucks rocks dude, wtf is up wit that shiznit?

Dunno. It seems to only take the values on a hard reboot. Instead of loading optimized settings I found that I can change the cas one higher along with the value/s I am changing, get the hard reboot and then change the cas back to whatever I had it at. So far that has worked twice now. Sucks. I swear it is worse than it was before though. Hopefully fixed in a BIOS update. Hopfeully not mobo biting the big one either.

need to get me a GB board I think to push like the rest of the team. I will keep my eye out for something.

I'm busy this month trying to buy a bigger house. Looks like it's gonna be a nasty bidding war for a short sale. And that's assuming we get lucky enough to have the present contingent sale fall through......

That is the RAM I wanted but 2133 isn't compatible with my mobo. :(

I hope the 13** asus bios fixes a bunch of stuff (releases any time now) until my gd80 arrives :D

Alrighty ..... fab five has motivated me to run some 2D

I am only a half decent bencher at best, but I particulaly suck at 2D ....... :shock:

And now SB is on it's way to RMA land I am left with only a 775 platform.

The good news is I have cleaned out the basement in this old farm house I live in now and discovered a work bench, After digging through any throwing away all the articacts laying down there and some shop vac work I have discovered a little work area that I think will serve me well

So I will be insulating up an old x38 Maximus Formula and all though I won't be competing to get up on this list's in the OP, I will be working some 2D retro benching this month to keep in the spirit of things ...

First up will be a Q6600

winxp and win7 are easy to tweak...

maxing out cpu and ram are also doable...just need the right tools....

me and dom and ocm and ny_driver..chat and they always help me out....you can ask these guys anytime..they practically bench 24/7 and ....i tell you what..ocm and dom and nydriver have all their tweaks ....tweaked...

I really like doing 3D, but need 5 GHZ.... this Q6600 won't do that .... would be thrilled with 4.4 to 4.5 on the single stager

I know it is Five App February but went ahead and ordered a 5770 Hawk today for some 3D hardware boints. 580 is still in the works to be ordered Monday. :D

Nah. Prolly won't fit in my case. Got to keep it 10.5" or shorter to fit. I know laugh all you want. I'm a case man now a days. Having a baby puts a damper on your benching style. I don't have it like i use too.

3 slots would fit my case just fine. Prolly wait a couple of weeks or at least to see the specs on it. The card did perk my attention. Until then the Hawk can hold me off.
