Here is the latest 3DMark 2006 Bench with the Xeon and EVGA CLASSIFIED motherboard:

Nice!!! What type of volts you usin there? LN2? I am thinkin of converting to this mobo when I get done with my DFI. That's still on done the line though. Will have to see though.
|
Damn I want...... I can't wait till you get them cards under cold and scale that score up :D
|
Also which Classified mobo is that? The nf200 or the other chipset?
|
its the EVGA CLASSIFIED x58
|
But there are two of them now?
|
:green4:Nice work Travis, now stop playin around and really punch it in the gut:broomstick:
|
Trying 975EE right now and waiting for GTX 295's on LN2
|
DAYUM!!!!!
975EE?!?!?!?! Where'd you get that.....Test chip? |

this baby is packing 4.4Ghz 8 core stable on AIR!!!! already hit 4.712 Valid on Air |
SWEET!!! I can't wait to get one of those babies!!
You really liking the Classified huh? |
Nice V2! Try using less voltage on that D0 (1.45-1.55) as they seem to respond better to less voltage than C0/C1 required. Also what temps where you running around?
3540 should get you 3D stable in the 5200 range unless you really got a dog of a chip. Cant wait to see that 975 action :) |

ill try less voltage, but for some reason that chip was craving more! maybe i was running the silicon too cold? |

makes me burn a lot more LN2 fiddling around with temps :( |

Plus wtf are you guys getting the W3520/W3540's? I can't find anywhere that has those. |

hahaha I couldn't even get the mobo to put it in. Isn't it unlocked just like the XE 975? |
Yeah temp scaling is a big part of getting your chips "Sweetspot." Between -65 to -95 is common. Most I would say like between -85 and -95 with some liking warmer some liking colder.
The temperature it like is also tied to the volts your running. So if you change your volts it may be a different temp for stability. |
Wow, these i7 just seem to be alot of work for sub zero.

i didn't see too much potential in them, maybe ill give them another shot when im done with this chip. Quote:

Nice stuff V2 :)
I must agree on temps. My 920 D0 ran fine at -110c but it seemed to be better in the -90c range. I did have it lower than -110c but it didn't seem to make any real differance. |
great combination isnt it.. what is your bclk wall?
|
I'm sill kicking myself for not buying two of the Ltd Ed. Classifieds with the NF200 when they were available. Once I decided to, they were no longer there, and I had seen them the day before
|
I will call you today and verbally kick you...if it would make you feel better.
On topic, I am leaning towards the w3540 as opposed to the 80, any thoughts V? |
That's the Xeon I'm fixin to get myself RomDominance.
|
On a classified, the W3540 will be just as good 99% of the time. The difference between a good and bad batch is much more important than the difference between the 40 and 70 ;)
