Intel 655k + Evga p55 ftw @7ghz !!!
1 Attachment(s)
Was playing with this chip the other day and ran out of LN2, I could get 6.79ghz @ 1.8 vcore, so I thought it had some promise..
I had 3 screenshots 6.869ghz, 6.93ghz, 7.02ghz...when I ended benching........... the last two failed to submit.. So I had to go back for round 2. And I scored this beast. To All my OCA brothas..... Next up SuperPi... Attachment 3530 |
Crazy accomplishment Steponz!

but congrats im still in the 5ghz club :'( |
Hey Step, grind out some 2 core wprimes first bro, massive boint potential there, then tackle the pi beast. The wprimes will go quick, the pi's will take some patience for sure. Best of luck, congrats and great job dood!

What range VTT and PLL are you using?
PCH? |
Vtt was between 1.35 to 1.5, 1.4 seemed to be the best though.
I had PCH and PLL set to auto for a while and saw that they were running @ 1.43 for pll and 1.05 for PCH, Tried messing with PCH, never made a difference.. so ended up just putting it back and the same for pll. thanks for the kind words my friends... had the wife return the bad proc for a new one... that store, the original I bought it from didn't have the same batch, but I got the closest one to it. |
That low of a pch? wow!
|
pch doesn't need to be pushed for 200bclk...
this is unlocked clocking..so almost everything is safe voltages... i see sandybridge overclocking this way... |
Wow, awesome clocks step, keep them coming mate....
