Home Brew Benchstation

I trust you guys won't tell my wife what really happen to the entertainment stand that was in the living. http://www.techreaction.net/forums/i...smilies/up.gif thx

In no particular order, here is my home brew budget benchstation pimped out with koolance quick disconnects and a fatty rad on the back side. I use it for pre-sub zero testing, it works out great and stays really cool.

It works!

Sorry buddy. I know I told you in msn and thought I said so in here too. :ash1:

Buckeye 06-10-2009 05:53 PM

That is pretty nice and you did a great job on it !

After getting the MonstaCade and found that the suction line is not long enough to reach to the top of the Dimas Bench I have been forced to using Foam. I don't like it much that way as parts geting kind of messing how they have to be layed on the top.

But I must admit it makes things a lot easyer not using that table.

Not sure what I will do with now. Maybe make another rig with it to put someplace LOL. Great another computer in the house.

Looks pretty good despite the repeated intrusions of your FAT FEET in the pics! Tell your wife to paint your toe nails for you! lmao

What fans are you using on your radiator anyway?

They are silverstone case fans, nothing special, they glow, they work. Two of them are silverstones, the other two, I forget :D

Peen 06-15-2009 12:52 AM

Kal-EL 06-15-2009 12:57 AM

Center will hold mobo

Bottom will hold drives PSU, and if I get some cash flow, maybe a WC setup.

Top of the tv stand is held on by 4 bolts I will replace with cotter pins.

this was my last furniture mod

Kal-EL 06-21-2009 03:39 PM

I like the before and after shots :D

Neuromancer 06-21-2009 04:09 PM

thanks

Yah modding computer cases and furniture for pcs gave me the experience, and creativity needed to start doing some Handy man stuff for extra money.

If that is your first furniture mod, you are off to one hell of a start. And dude I gotta tell yah, the bug will hit you to do it again. I went desk shopping recently, I was putting pieces of desks to gether in my head on how it worked best for benching, but still held a quiet running PC as well. Ended up spending the 3 dollars on the TV stand instead and using two wood braces and a 1x18 x36" piece of wood for a "desk".

Still have the slides from a keyboard tray on an old desk I had so I can go two tiered if I want. My curse is having to have two PCs running.. one to bench/game and tweak, and one for general stuff. Tried doing the KVM thing, not thrilled with that though.

limpkorn 06-27-2009 09:23 AM

Very nice dude!

I'm glad you didn't skimp on the pictures! That rad is huge btw.

rickss69 06-27-2009 03:40 PM
