Need waterblock that supports 775-1156-1366 without changing mount

Sick of my GTZ and having to take my loop apart to go from 1366 to 775 etc. Any block out there that have a single mounting plate (on the block side)

Any Air coolers that have all mountings? Maybe just get rid of my loop and go that route if there is anything good.

I use this or the cheaper GT model bro... http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=26480

I use the back plate and studs from the cascade for quick mounts and swaps. ;)

I'm also getting ready to add a second block for AMD use on the Boreas. When one is not in use it will hang on the side of the torture rack cooling nothing but itself. That is my biggest headache...breaking the loop to swap waterblocks.

punx223 06-17-2010 08:18 PM

crap nvm my suggestion as the mctdx universal supports alot of sockets but not 1156 and 1366.... the 1366 and 1156 are theyre own type

My stinger V8 has 775 and 1366 holes in it, but I use it on P55 Classy too because the mobo has 775 holes.

Send Fred Stinger an email
if you feel like supporting an independent guy. They're expensive and heavy, but each one is hand made by Fred. He'll drill whatever holes you want.

I use a high flow 3 port version, but he makes a 2 port V6 too. Performance is similar to my GTZ.

Nice looking piece, but why did'nt he just slot them like the GT's so it fits all three?

Witchdoctor 06-18-2010 01:08 AM

Such BS ...

everybody should adopt the slot design. Simple and easy.

Guess they want to try to sell one for each platform .......... Bastards !!!

Nice shit there patch, when you say expensive, what range you talking? just curious.

thebanik 06-18-2010 02:48 AM

Venomous X, uses same mount for everything apart from AMD(for which there is no mount at all which is bundled)

Splave 06-18-2010 03:21 AM

wow I love the slot idea of some of these, so easy :)

Swiftech XT has a slot design so it'll fit 1366 and 1156 - not sure about 775

Cause he drilled what I asked him to (and 1156 wasn't out yet). ;)

Slots should be mandatory for any block made right now.

any price patch?

Yeah, all Swiftech's fit 1366/1156/775...:)

I just picked up a pair of Swiftech Apogee XTs. They have the slot design, and are compatible with 775, 1156, and 1366.
